    The Chef's of 1111Mississippi, Vin de Set and Moulin Events are teaching a cooking class July 23thru 26th for teens aged13-17. The week-long class is held Monday - Thursday in all of our restaurants (they are all within a block of each other in beautiful Lafayette Square). Each day is packed full with small lectures and alot of hands on cooking time with 5 different Executive Chefs. 

    Classes include:

    Basic Knife Skills /Kitchen Math / Stocks & Sauces / Garde Manger & Emulsions /Creating Sauces / Cooking Proteins & Starch & Vegetables

    On the last day, students will create a menu, prepare it from scratch and serve it to a guest of their choice (each student may invite one adult guest to dine on this last day) 

    This class is structured to allow both novice and moderate culinarians to expand their knowledge and learn the skills necessary to create great meals. A "family meal" is included at the end of each day. 

    John Dalton, (a New York native and resident of St. Louis for the past 30 years and a Culinary Institute of America Graduate and Fellow) will guide the class through the ins and outs of the restaurant industry and coach each student to get the most outof each day's experience. 

    The class is limited to only 15 students 

    It is $495 per student and includes a chef's coat, hat, apron and a certificate at the end of the week.
